Based on discussions with public officials and an analysis of data gathered during missions to Croatia, the following Country Financial Accountability Assessment (CFAA) concludes that the overall fiduciary risk is significant.
The following broad topics are addressed in the CFAA:
• Budgeting;
• Treasury and cash management;
• Accounting and financial reporting;
• Internal control and internal audit;
• External audit and legislative oversight;
• Financial accountability arrangements for sub-national government;
• Capacity development.
